The afternoon at the abandoned construction site was more lively than any other hour of any other day. During the afternoon, the Kagamine twins occupied it, sitting on one of the road-rollers and talking, and maybe even snacking. The sky was blue and cloudy, though there wasn't any signs of rain, snow, or hail. Birds chirped and pecked at the ground, flew through the air, though that peace was disturbed by a female's voice, irritated and impatient. "Leeennn!" Rin called, standing by the hole in the metal fence, "Hurry up! Before it gets too late.." she tapped her foot against the cement, and watched him. She was getting far too impatient for this; when Rin wanted to go here, she meant now. This Kagamine wasn't forgiving when it came to being late. She'd more likely rip you apart then say 'It's okay~'. Groaning, she began to enter it, calling out to him again, "Don't yell when the shotacons get you! I won't come~" With no regrets, she walked along the deserted site, looking at the abandoned metal and machinery. Her blue eyes lit up when she saw what she had come for - the road-roller. Quickening her pace, she hurried over to it and sat down in the seat, and awaited her brother's arrival, or possible scream for help.

The yellow-haired boy hated it when his sister said the word shotacons. He has had enough with those little-boy loving adults. They were just... Creepy. The thought of the shotacons made him quicken his pace. Besides, Rin was scarey when she became impatient. The youngest of the Kagamine twins bolted for the nearest entrance to the construction site. He let out a yelp as a peice of lumber appeared infront of him, making the boy stumble and trip. "Tch." Len glanced at the peice of lumber, muttering curses at it. It took him a few minutes just to be able to stand without slipping in the loose dirt. His blue eyes brighted as he saw the road roller that his sister climbed into.
It was strange, really. Most kids their age would stay away from any large object that could flatten them flatter than a peice of paper. The boy started for his sister, stumbling every now and again at random peices of junk on the ground. Len slipped into the seat next to Rin. "Sorry for making you wait, Rin." He ended his statement with a slight nervous laugh.

With a laugh, Rin looked at her younger brother. She let a sweet smile come to her face and looked up at the roof of the machine. "It's kay." the blonde chimed, the impatience dripping away from her voice, "We're here now, aren't we?" the older sibling turned her attention back at her brother, allowing her smile to widen to the edge of grinning. Looking at the controls of the road-roller, she suddenly frowned, "It's a shame they took the keys with them, huh." she looked at Len out of the corner of her eyes and sighed, "We could of taken this for ourselves.." suddenly, her eyes lit up and she turned to look at Len, "We should learn how to hot-wire one of these!" Rin suggested, in a high-pitched chirp. "Than we could take it for ourselves~ Our very own road-roller!" she laughed again, staring intently at the control panel of the machine. Oh.. how she wanted one for herself. It would complete her life, really.

"We're here, aren't we?"
Len smiled softly and sat back. "Yes, we are." Ever since the construction of whatever mall this was supposed to be stopped and the place was abandoned, they came her each day after school. It was nice and relaxing. The only problem was that human weirdos seemed to lurk around every now and again. Thankfully, Rin was here to scare them away. Len would be dead by now if Rin wasn't his sister. "It's a shame they took the keys with them, huh. We could of taken this for ourselves... We should learn how to hot-wire one of these!"
Len's blue eyes widened at his sister's remark. "Hot-wire? Isn't that dangerous? I mean, we could get electricuted! We could die!" Len stopped himself and thought for a moment. He looked like a major wimp by worrying like that. Even if he was a wimp, that didn't change anything. However, wasn't hot-wiring something, AKA stealing, illegal? The male twin shook his head, shaking away the thought. "So, er... How did those people in the movies hot-wire something, anyways?" Len asked, tilting his head.

"Hot-wire? Isn't that dangerous? I mean, we could get electrocuted! We could die!"
Rin raised an eyebrow and huffed, crossing her arms. "Yeah, so?" she snorted, staring at her brother with a criticizing gaze, "Lenny, you need to learn to be more.. more.." the female Kagamine paused for a second, a thinking look appearing onto her face, "You need.. to.. to loosen up!" playfully shoving him, she laughed, "Stop worrying about all that stuff~!"
"So, er... How did those people in the movies hot-wire something, anyways?"
"Um.. I don't know." Rin answered, wondering that herself. "Umm.. I think they.." she moved herself so that she was sitting on the floor of the road-roller, and looked under the steering wheel and all that stuff. "I think they open this." she tapped a yellow fingernail on a square-shaped box under it, "and move around the wires 'n stuff."

"Yeah, so? Lenny, you need to learn to be more.. more.. You need.. to.. to loosen up! Stop worrying about all that stuff~!"
Len grunted. Of all the names he could be called, Lenny was the worst... Well, Lenard, too, but still. "I can loosen up if I want to." The boy muttered under his breath. His blue eyes shifted and moved to the sky. The clouds covering the sky seemed to be getting darker. Len strained his ear, and he could hear a soft rumble in the far off distance.
"Umm.. I think they.. I think they open this, and move around the wires 'n stuff."
Len snapped his attention back to his sister. "Hmm.. If I remember correctly, I think they cut two wires and put them together." The boy angled his head to where he could look below the steering wheel. There was a box there that could be removed. However, they might need tools. Then again, couldn't they just buy one? They have many albums sold from their singing career, so they could just use that money to their own road roller. Okay, now Len was just looking for excuses to not hot-wire some worker's property.

"Hmm.. If I remember correctly, I think they cut two wires and put them together."
Rin tapped the box once again, with a small giggle. "We should.. get some tools.. I wanna do this now." she stated, proud and rather devious. Rin didn't think of this as stealing - in her mind, they weren't here, so it wasn't their property. The older Kagamine moved so she was on the seat once again, and gave another giggle, "Can we go do this?" she directed her ocean-blue eyes to her brother and smiled softly. It was rare that she ever asked Len's opinion on something. It was always Rin's way or the highway with her. If you don't want to do this Len, than now's your time to speak up.

"We should.. get some tools.. I wanna do this now. Can we go do this?"
Len stared at his sister, confusion written all over his face. His sister never asked for someone else's oppinion. Is she sick or something? The boy shook his head. "Er... Why not? It'd be best to do this before the storm over that way," the blonde-haired boy pointed off towards the darkest part of the clouds, "comes over here." He pushed himself off his seat and out of the road roller.

"Er... Why not? It'd be best to do this before the storm over that way, comes over here."
Rin brightened up and opened her mouth to say something, but than, the expression fell. ".. It'd be too dangerous wouldn't it?" she questioned, tilting her head to the side, frowning that they wouldn't be able to do this. ".. You said yourself it'd be too dangerous~ and it'd be more dangerous with all that rain." sighing, she stood up and hopped out of the machinery and looked over at the brewing storm. She puffed her cheeks out in annoyance and looked towards that hole in the fence, "Wanna leave before it gets here?"

Len was a bit surprized that Rin actually thought about not doing something that was her idea. Girls. He didn't understand them. Len sighed then nodded. "Sure. Rain plus electricity isn't a great pair." The boy started to move away from the road roller when a bolt of lightning flashed and struck a peice of metal on the site. The boy yelped, leaping and falling backwards. "I-I think we should get out of her as fast as we can." Len bolted for the nearest exit from the site, stumbling every now and again.

Rin squeaked in surprise to the sudden bolt of lighting. She slowly started to move for the exit of the construction site, as fast as her feet could take her. When she reached the exit, the rain was coming on down hard. Panting, she stepped through the fence, panting and sitting down on the cement. "Rain.." she began, with a small grumble, looking up at the sky with her eyes closed, allowing the rain to hit her face and stream down it, "Isn't.. exactly.." with another paused, she looked up at Len, "..I hate rain.. I seriously.. hate it." she mumbled finally.
